Where is the cyanide contamination likely to originate?

In industries worldwide ranging from wafer manufacturing, plating shops, PC board etching and LED manufacturing to clinical laboratories and gold mining.

Why does the cyanide contamination challenge need addressing?

Because cyanide is a highly toxic material and stricter state and federal legislation are regulating its use and discharge. Companies also want to avoid costly Superfund and related litigation, eliminate or greatly reduce costly after-the-fact cleanups.

Is there a solutiong?

Yes. SolmeteX® has developed MetallX™ - a unique approach to the cyanide removal challenge.

Is there a solutiong?

Yes. MetallX™ is being successfully used in a wide range of applications with consistent results.

What's different about MetallX™?

SolmeteX® manufactures MetallX™ from non-toxic and eco-friendly materials. MetallX™ selectively and irreversibly binds cyanide.

What's its rate of adsorption?

As is the case with all adsorption processes, the rate will depend on a number of parameters including pH, temperature, cyanide concentrations, MetallX™ amounts and ionic strength to name a few factors. Using MetallX™ in column configurations, flow rates that result in column residence times (or empty bed contact times) on the order of 1 to 5 minutes generally will satisfy most applications.

How cost-effective is this product to us?

The application of this product requires a smaller system than conventional technologies. A smaller system requires less equipment, which requires less space, and results in less cost.

What are the other MetallX™ advantages?

Besides cyanide it also adsorbs arsenic, chromium as Cr(VI), arsenate and metal complexes such as EDTA and citrate complexes.

MetallX™ is maintenance-free, it requires a minimal capital expense and very low operational costs.

It treats to very low discharge levels.

The treatment material is non-toxic, eco-friendly and fully contained.
